Attendance Matters
Attendance is a crucial factor in the progress of all children. Here at our school, we prioritise maintaining high attendance levels, aiming for 95% attendance, which is considered good. We believe that regular attendance is essential for every pupil to achieve their full potential.
It is important to remember that holidays taken during term time are strongly discouraged. We only consider exceptional circumstances when reviewing such requests, and we will take into account previous attendance records.
We understand that some children may face medical conditions that affect their ability to attend school regularly. In these cases, we approach each situation with sensitivity and care. Our aim is to work collaboratively with families to ensure that no child is penalised due to health issues. We strive to support every student, enabling them to attend school as much as possible. Additionally, we compile case studies for those who experience significant difficulties, which helps us tailor our support to meet individual needs.
Remember, every day in school counts, and attending regularly not only helps with academic growth but also fosters friendships and a sense of belonging within our school community. Let us work together to ensure that each pupil reaches their full potential by prioritising attendance.
