All pupils attending Springfield School have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) in place. We ensure that every pupil belongs and is able to participate fully in all aspects of school life, including a broad, balanced, and meaningful curriculum tailored to meet their individual needs.
Our curriculum is designed to ensure that all pupils learn, grow, and achieve, and is carefully adapted so that every learner can engage, contribute, and succeed. Through flexible planning and a range of personalised strategies, pupils are supported to access the full curriculum in ways that are appropriate to their individual strengths, needs, and learning styles.
Pupils are enabled to develop skills that are appropriate to their stage of development rather than their chronological age, supporting them to build confidence, independence, and enjoyment in their learning. Throughout the curriculum, we actively promote our values of being kind, being happy, and being great, ensuring pupils feel safe, valued, and proud of their achievements.
For a more detailed explanation of our curriculum approach, please refer to the Curriculum Policy.
