School Parliament

The School Parliament shares and discusses ideas and suggestions within the school community. They are responsible for ensuring that the pupils have a voice and are able to make decisions that affect their education and environment. The School Parliament will carry out the ideas that have been agreed upon, including how to allocate fundraising money, improving reward time across the school, and planning new playground activities.

At Springfield School, the School Parliament plays a crucial role, as it allows every child to engage meaningfully through appropriate and individualised forms of communication and learn skills. We aspire for our school to be a welcoming place where everyone understands and respects one another. We aim to cultivate a safe environment where the school values are embodied—a place where we are kind, happy and truly ourselves.

Our commitment is to take pride in our work, striving to be the best we can be each day. When faced with challenges, we will persevere and listen to one another. The School Parliament encourages pupils to work collaboratively to promote positive changes and enhance the school community, ensuring that everyone’s ideas are heard, valued and put into action.
